Two Hearts Yoga
A Family Yoga Studio
Yoga saved Georgina!
“When we nurture and take care of ourselves we are more able and willing to nurture and take care of others. How we are in the world is how the world gets reflected back to us.” – Georgina O’Farrill
During her first intro class she discovered that – after years of running, kickboxing and hitting the gym -- she could not clasp her hands behind her back.
She realized then that she had two choices: change her name to Vinnie or start a yoga practice.
Since that time, Georgina has completed three yoga teacher trainings: power yoga with Brenda Strong, Yogaworks with Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford and an Anusara teacher training with Naime Jezeny, Sue Elkind and Noah Maze.
She has been teaching children, pre/post-natal and adult yoga for over 12 years. Influenced by all her teachers, Georgina loves the simple elegance of the Anusara alignment points and she incorporates them into her teaching.
An informed and creative teacher, Georgina taught pre/post-natal yoga at Black Dog Yoga for 5 years. Her teaching style and her unique approach to pre/post-natal yoga have made her an extremely popular teacher, with pregnant students traveling from all over the city to attend her classes.
She’s been asked to teach workshops and teacher trainings based on her extensive pre/post-natal teaching experience.
Georgina also taught Yoga Ed at the Accelerated School for six years where she taught K-12 and teachers; she headed the yoga program -- which served as a model for the nation for how to incorporate yoga into Physical Education. Prior to becoming a yoga teacher, Georgina taught preschool and Gymboree programs to babies and kids.
